Security Health Plan offers a variety of Medicare Advantage Plan options.

  • Ally RX DSNP – A dual-eligible special needs plan with a HMO network. This means members must receive care from an affiliated provider, any care received out of network requires prior authorization. Most services are subject to Medicare cost-sharing as members have a Medicaid secondary plan to supplement their out of pocket costs.
  • Medicare Advantage HMO-POS Plans – Members on these plans can use any provider who is Medicare certified and has not opted out of Medicare. Depending on the plan elected, members may pay copays or coinsurance for certain services until they reach their max out of pocket. These plans offer some coverage beyond what original Medicare covers. It is important to note that some plans may not have Part D prescription drug coverage.
  • Secure Saver MSA – A high-deductible health plan used in connection with a Medicare medical savings account. This plan does not include Part D prescription drug coverage or cover services above and beyond original Medicare. All services, including preventive services, received under this plan are subject to the deductible until the member’s out of pocket is met. After the deductible, Medicare covered services are paid by Security Health Plan at 100% of the Medicare allowed amount. Members on these plans can use any provider who is Medicare certified and has not opted out of Medicare.

Coverage will be provided in accordance with Medicare guidelines (written in the Medicare Advantage Evidence of Coverage (EOC)) and subject to member eligibility at the time services are provided. Services that are not covered by Medicare are not covered by Medicare Advantage plans, except as specifically set forth in the EOC. To view a member’s eligibility and benefits log in to the SHP Provider Portal.

Some services may require prior authorization by the provider or member – for more information see the EOC or the Security Health Plan prior authorization webpage.
