Last Updated on February 19, 2026

Family Health Center offers coverage for all FDA-approved tobacco cessation medications, including over-the-counter drugs, with a prescription authorization. FDA-approved medications include bupropion SR tablets, varenicline (Chantix®), nicotine patches, nicotine inhaler, nicotine nasal spray, nicotine gum and nicotine lozenges. Members will not be assessed copayments on these drugs and coverage  may be allowed up  to 180 days per rolling 365-day period. Members are required to obtain the generic versions, if available, to qualify for the “no copay” benefit. Prescriptions will be covered when they are processed at a network pharmacy.

Security Health Plan  offers a Tobacco Free program to support members while they quit. Members can enroll in the program by calling 1-800-472-2363 TTY 711.
