Eligible for financial assistance?

You may be eligible for financial assistance with an advanced premium tax credit (APTC) or  cost sharing reductions ("Extra savings") when you apply for coverage through the Federally-facilitated Exchange. This financial assistance can lower your monthly premium and help you save money on your out of pocket expenses.

Am I eligible for a premium tax credit?

Advance premium tax credit (APTC) is not available if you are eligible for coverage through a government program like Medicare, Medicaid, CHIP or TRICARE. You may qualify for APTC if you meet the following criteria:

Are you eligible for "extra savings?"

Depending on your annual household income and family size, you may qualify for financial assistance to pay for your out-of-pocket expenses, such as deductible, coinsurance or copayments.
  • 100-250% of the poverty line If your household income falls within 100-250% of the federal poverty line you may qualify for cost-sharing reductions.
  • You’ve chosen a Silver tier plan

    To qualify for these extra saving on out-of-pocket costs you must enroll in a Silver tier plan.

Security Health Plan is a Qualified Health Plan (QHP) issuer through the Federally-facilitated Exchange. Pediatric dental services, as required under the Affordable Care Act, are not included in this policy. Stand-alone dental plans are available for purchase with the Marketplace. Please contact Security Health Plan or the Federally-facilitated Exchange if you are interested in purchasing pediatric dental or stand-alone dental coverage.
