Non-profit organization that answers to you
Security Health Plan is a not-for-profit health maintenance organization (HMO) based right here in Wisconsin. We don’t have stockholders – we answer only to you and our members. Being a not‐for‐profit health insurance company gives us more flexibility to decide how best to spend our members’ healthcare dollars. - Workplace wellness – We designed our wellness services to reduce health risks, increase participation and productivity, and promote a healthy work environment. We partner with you to develop a customized program tailored to your organization.
- Preventive care – We aligned our preventive benefits with evidence-based medicine (EBM) guidance from the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF). We cover important preventive care screenings at 100%.
- Occupational health – We’re integrated with Marshfield Clinic and can collaborate with you to build a tailored plan that includes drug screenings, pre-employment exams, vaccinations and other mobile primary care services.
Medication safety, savings and management
Your employees deserve access to the right medications at the right time that are both effective and safe. They also want more control over their drug spending. We have the solutions.
- Alternative pain management and opioid management – As a drug-free alternative to opioids, we cover dry needling services from a licensed healthcare provider. Our opioid management program also steers your employees toward alternatives to reduce their pain.
- Medication Therapy Management (MTM) – With a quick phone call, our pharmacists can answer your employees’ questions about prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs and help find lower-cost alternatives (if appropriate).
- Over-the-counter quarterly credit – Fully insured subscribers can receive a quarterly credit for over-the-counter supplies such as allergy medications, first aid supplies and pain relievers delivered at no charge.
- Rx Savings Solutions – Rx Savings Solutions helps members find the lowest-price options for their prescription drugs. The service is linked to their Security Health Plan coverage, so everything is personalized according to the medications they take and their specific plan’s benefits. The program also works with members and their providers to take care of any necessary approvals for suggested changes.
