Security Health Plan names new Director of Population Health

Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., has named Heather Kurtz as the new Director of Population Health. Population health management is an approach to improving health outcomes of a defined population across the care continuum.

Kurtz will provide operational strategic and leadership of the Health Services and Quality departments for Security Health Plan. She will assist in the development of effective programs and services to Security Health Plan members and health care providers to support the delivery of affordable, high-quality care and insurance products.

Heather KurtzKurtz has a master’s degree in business administration from Lakeland University and a bachelor’s of science degree in civil and environmental engineering from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She joined Security Health Plan in 2010 and brings experience from her previous roles at Security Health Plan and Marshfield Clinic Health System. Kurtz’s previous roles were in the Business Intelligence Department where she led a team of analysts to support operational and strategic imperatives of the Health Plan, and helped create the business intelligence department within Marshfield Clinic Health System.
