How are my prescription drugs covered?

Get the most value out of your pharmacy benefit by understanding the list of medications, often called a formulary, that are covered under your health insurance plan. Use the drug search below to make sure your prescriptions are covered.

The drug list also tells you if there are any restrictions on your prescription drugs (quantity limits, whether you need prior authorization from Security Health Plan, is it Part B or Part D, etc.). If you are using a brand-name drug, the list will also help you know when there is a less expensive generic option that you can discuss with your doctor.

Use the quick links at the right for more information about Part D prescription drug coverage. Click on Drug Safety News for the latest drug recall information as released by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The benefit information provided is a brief summary, not a complete description of benefits. For more information contact the plan. Limitations, copayments, and restrictions may apply. Benefits, formulary, pharmacy network, provider network, premium and/or copayments/coinsurance may change on January 1 of each year. You must continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium.
Security Health Plan and its agents are not in any way connected with the Medicare program. Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., is an HMO-POS, MSA and D-SNP plan with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in Security Health Plan depends on contract renewal. This is an advertisement for insurance.
