$0 premiumNo monthly premium for your Secure Saver MSA. But you will need to continue to pay your Medicare Part B premium.
- Secure Saver MSA has a $5,600 deductible
- Security Health Plan deposits $1,920 into the account on Jan. 1 and you'll receive a Mastercard debit card to use to pay your health care expenses.
- Your out-of-pocket maximum would be $3,680.
- Once your deductible is met, Security Health Plan pays your Medicare covered expenses for the rest of the year.
Other key features of Secure Saver MSA
You may use the money in your Optum Bank MSA to pay for health care services until you reach your $5,600 deductible. As long as the services you receive are qualified Medicare medical expenses, your net out-of-pocket expenditure will be limited to $3,680.
Any unused funds remain in your Optum Bank account and roll over to the next year to use for future healthcare expenses.

Secure Saver MSA enrollment considerations
Enrollment is generally for a full calendar year with some exceptions. In the event you qualify for enrollment during the year, Security Health Plan’s deposit and your deductible will be prorated.
In the event you disenroll during the calendar year, you will need to repay a prorated portion of Security Health Plan’s deposit.
Don't forget! Secure Saver MSA does not cover prescription drug coverage. You will need to enroll in a separate Medicare prescription drug plan if you want prescription drug coverage.
Important! If you are newly enrolling into Medicare and have delayed your Part B enrollment, please contact us right away to discuss your options. Applicants who delay enrolling in Part B need to apply for MSA before their Part B is effective.
