Security Health Plan announces new individual and family plans in Dodge County
People shopping for individual or family health insurance in Dodge County will be pleased to know Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., will offer a new coverage option for 2022 that can help reduce their health care costs and provide them access to high-quality providers.
The new product, named Enrich, includes10 plan choices, including catastrophic coverage for those under the age of 26. These plans can be purchased directly from Security Health Plan or through a licensed insurance agent and are also available on the Federally-facilitated Exchange, or Health Insurance Marketplace (HealthCare.gov).
Security Health Plan added Enrich to better serve consumers shopping for health insurance coverage in Dodge County. Enrich provides access to Marshfield Clinic Health System providers, as well as UW Health and UnityPoint Health-Meriter.
“With a variety of Enrich plan options that emphasize better health and service, consumers can choose the insurance coverage that best fits their health care needs and the health care needs of their family,” said Jenny Shermo, chief growth officer at Security Health Plan.
Like all of Security’s individual or family plans, Enrich members will have 100% coverage for unlimited Care My Way® visits and a $30 quarterly credit for over-the-counter items and supplies. In 2022, the Care My Way benefit will be expanded to offer 24/7 service and will be available in all 50 states.
Members with a plan from Security will also receive enhanced diabetic coverage, including a $25 monthly cap on select insulins, and select diabetic testing supplies will be covered at 100%. New for 2022, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) will be covered at 100%. SSRIs are prescribed for symptoms associated with anxiety, depression or other mood disorders.
This new plan is designed to provide cost savings with the inclusion of extra benefits. With an Enrich plan, members will enjoy additional perks like:
- Reduced copays for prescriptions filled at Marshfield Clinic Health System pharmacies.
- Access to Marshfield Clinic’s Patient Navigator Program for help scheduling appointments, answering questions about bills and health plan coverage, requesting medical records, and more.

Beginning Nov. 1, 2021, consumers will be able to compare plan options, calculate what tax credit they might qualify for, and enroll in a plan at www.securityhealth.org/myplans. Only insurance companies approved as a Qualified Health Plan are eligible to offer coverage through the Marketplace. Purchasing a plan through the Health Insurance Marketplace is the only way consumers can receive a tax credit to help meet health care costs.
Security Health Plan Director of Health Plan Products Erin Long reminds everyone of the increased tax credits made available to Marketplace enrollees by President Biden’s American Rescue Plan Act.
“The American Rescue Plan Act adjusted the premium tax credit guidelines for all 2022 Marketplace plans,” Long said. “This means, regardless of income, enrollees will not have to pay more than 8.5% of their household’s annual income for the second-lowest-cost Silver plan available on the Marketplace. Even if someone is already paying a low or even no premium, they may be able to get a plan with lower out-of-pocket costs.”
The Open Enrollment Period for 2022 is Nov. 1, 2021, through Jan. 15, 2022. For coverage effective Jan. 1, 2022, consumers must enroll by Dec. 15, 2021. Any enrollments between Dec. 16, 2021, and Jan. 15, 2022, will have a Feb. 1, 2022, effective date.
